Just got an update from the driver. Seems he was attacked by some sort of Yeti creature overnight. He said he fought it back with a large kielbasa and once the creature discovered there is no way it could sit behind the wheel of a 45, it found the beer stash and ran off with the beer under one arm, kielbasa in the other.

Looks like the driver made a good call with some icing of the roads up north, some DC highways were closed. He is heading south now with an ETA after 4pm, probably more like 5pm depending on stops/traffic through DC. The wait is bearable, as long as he gets it down here safe and sound...

I'll put it in this thread too...

haha this thread just got that much funnier.

Just got back with my beer and kielbasa.

Brian I told you to stay out of my family photos.

I did however chew on the steering wheel a little bit.

Just got home, well second time home. Had to pick up the wife and take her for a ride also, drove by Ramon's house since he is so close.

All's as expected. No surprises but I was looking in the dark. Fired right up, shifted into all gears smoothly, transfer case shifted into fine, all the lights work, wipers, heater even defrosted the windshield after the wife got in and was hyperventilating when I pulled into traffic. No plates till Monday, oh well, like I wasn't going to take it for a drive because of some silly law.

I'll be taking some detail pics tomorrow but here are the ones I had to take tonight, just because...

Pretty psyched, my mind is racing with the possibilities. Deep breath, enjoy the rig and teach the girls how to drive a stick, again...

I need you to take some close up picks of how the back bumper is mounted. I want to build one just about like that one but needed to see how to attach one properly.

Looks good from the pics i see here.

I'll do my best to take some pics of the attachment and mountings of it.

I'm sure daylight will expose some additional flaws but it really doesn't matter. It is what it is and its my task to take on and get it to a new and better condition...

Looks like a good platform to start with.

From all the rest of your work i am sure beyond any doubt that it will end up alot nicer.

Looks really good Jerry. Can't wait to see it transform.

Btw - I have a set of Aquala side steps laying around if you need a set. They look just like stock but aluminum.

Thanks Jon. Looks like I've got my future fairly well cast in the light of day.

Also, thanks for the offer on the steps. I found some in the toolbox in the bed of the truck but I'll probably makes some as a slider/step combo.

Look for the new thread for more pics...
