Well some poor guy offered to bring parts to Evan's from Cdan, when my 60 was getting lifted (and PM'd) and had to go back for a second trip.

Thought that was you, my bad.

I brought parts up for your 60 and made a 2nd run because of my own forgetfulness.

You might also consider new brushes for the alternator. Once the alternator is out, it's about a 5 minute job.

Looks like it might not be only the contacts on the starter (checked the armature and it does not look good). I was told it was redone at 80k, but why would it give out at 110k? The alt. may be completely gone (I will try the brushes first though). I hope the shorting out is from the alt, but I will find out. Wanna look at a few other things too. All this when after taking a shoulder into my ribs, heard a pop in my knee (put it back in a brace again) and it is a pain to work on the truck. When I changed my oil with the broken ribs it took me 2 hours for 15 minute job ! I know all small things, but they add up when you are Cruiserless!

Want to help me rebuild the axles for the 40 one of these weekdays? (later July or August prolly) I'll bet we could chide Ash into coming. Days of the week are meaningless when you don't work (or don't schedule to work around any days in particular)

Count me in to help. The days of the week do not matter. The only commitment I have is every Wed at 5:30pm; fiddle lesson which is very important.

Making a statement like this will certainly reduce your popularity with some folks in the group. The only people that work less than us hated government employees/contractors are retired folks. If you're a retired government employee, don't tell anyone.

Thanks for the warning, but just the opposite,

first job: environmental consultant for the oil and gas industry. Government folks do not like us.

Second Job: GIS Analyst and Web Map Developer and occasional computer builds/repair.

You know we don't hate you guys. Besides, what do you mean popular vote, I though it is only Mike, Dan, and myself that don't work for the guberment. Maybe we are just jealeous (anyways, I thought we got over this)! I keep kicking myself for not taking that job years ago. I would be about six or seven years from retirement by now.

Now you really are "da'ffy" for correcting the spelling of that word! 80's are for.... old and don't remember the other. Last time I saw, I didn't have that much grey in my hair, but on the flip side I do feel older than I am.
