Anyone using one of these snap on wood steering wheel caps?

Spotted these things on Fleabay and I'm just curious since my original wheel is starting to fade and I don't really want to deal with the downtime (or cost) of having it redone :meh:

I'd be very interested to hear how those work. please let us know if you get and use one!

I put a 'wheelskin' on my 80 4-5 years ago and it is holding up well. If you take the time and install it right, it looks very near OEM. Also makes the wheel rim a little thicker.

My wife's LX470 has the OEM wood wheel. I actually don't like it. Driving with a hand in the '12 o'clock' position means you're holding onto a thin piece of glossy wood.

I guess the good thing is it almost forces you to drive at 10 and 2.

It looks like that snap together piece would have a prominent gap or seam where they fit together.
