I was looking at a 5.7L Tundra motor that was pulled out of a wrecked Tundra with 3,000 miles. With the TRD supercharger it would make a pretty killer "Pre-runner" motor. And it is cheaper then my 4.7 was when I bought it!!!

I haven't even seen one of these in a running truck, let alone looked at the wiring mess it would take to get it to run. Probably just a pipe dream

that sounds sweet .. ! most if you have the complete " tundra " to pull anything that you will need .. seen few here and that bitch it's big !

SCHWING ! We are doing a 4.7 Lexus 675hp CORR racing motor in a stretched 40 right now, but the 5.7 would be the shiznet.

Zornff,

Nice!

Yeah I did a supercharged 4.7L in my '71 FJ55, and it was awesome. But the 5.7L is going for cheap. It is $1500-$2000 less then I paid for the 4.7L, 4 years ago. There seems to be a lot of them in the salvage yards with low miles. The TRD supercharger kicks it up to 505hp and 550ft/lbs of torque and should be very reliable. I have sent an inquiry to Level 10, to see if they work on the new AB60F 6 speed automatic transmission. But buying a wrecked Tundra seems like a pretty good deal, great motor, decent tranny, and a nice rearend. Seems like a great place to start.........

I have swapped a 5.7 and 6 speed in my 2003 tundra. I did not have the whole wrecked truck so i didn't have everything. I used a standalone ecu from LINK. it was a hard swap but it would be so awesome in a fj40.
