Over the past two weeks I've racked up ca. thousand miles. The cloth manual 4Runner seats are more comfortable than the electric leather Lexus seats. This week the LX450 was a tow rig for a 15' aluminum boat and handled this job well. The boat and trailer were hardly noticeable and mileage was decent at 12 mpg. This site is a backroad boat ramp on the Choctawhatchee River of SE AL.

Drove about 500 miles over three days towing this load, a 19' Carolina Skiff loaded with turtle traps. A heavy load. Most of the driving was interstate at 65+/- with mileage running ca. 9-10. This is about what I had expected. Also had the AC on the entire time.

Youngest son @cruiserinsanity borrowed the LX450 today to make a 400 mile round trip run to pick up another broken down car. Cruiser can handle the towing duties, but it's slow and gas mileage is miserable. Car is a 4WD Honda wagon with a 5 speed plus a lower than normal gear when needed.
