There is so much custom wiring that needs to be done that you could just buy a new fuse block, wire and connectors and save $100.
 
The scout harness that you liked to is the same painless kit that I have in my 40. As far as the price goes; why is anything priced as it is in ebay? It's a good kit.

This confuses me as "landcruiser_nut" mentioned he had purchased it and it is made by "Kwik Wire." :meh: Now I'm definitely confused!

I'm not an electronic guy either, but all of the kwik wire was easy till you get to the switches. I finally got everything working but the hazards, then ran into another problem with the ignition so I'm concentrating on that for now. I liked the kwik wire harness, but painless has better tech help.

kwik wire is just another company, google them. The wires are marked every foot and they have extra curcuits for an electric fan (could be used for lights) and electric fuel pump. you have to jump the flashers cause they won't work with Toyota. If I can do it I'm sure you can. I think they are all about the same (chevy harness) it's just a matter of who you get it from.
 
I think one is ez wire and the other is from JT outfitters. I'm in the market myself, so don't have anything to add about either one. I'm pretty sure neither of them is from Painless...
