Anyone know where to find these weld-on factory pieces?

Ok folks… this might be a little too detail obsessed, but I’m looking to weld on these little threaded posts to my replacement rear sill to maintain the factory look.

Anyone know if they are available in some form or am I going to have to fabricate?

I don’t need this whole piece… just the female threaded part. On this tailgate latch backing plate there are 2 of what I’m looking for.

McMaster Carr, but thread size limited for that height.

Thank you! Unfortunately these need to be M8, but I’ll check McMaster and some others. Makes sense that they are called “weld nuts” 🤓

I’m still debating the right prep for the top surface of the sill and the underside of the bed. I’m thinking epoxy prime and then grind a few spots where I’m going to tack it together?

I got some from Amazon and from McMaster in the past for that same project!

Just ordered some! Thanks guys.

Metric & Multistandard is just one industry source.

McMaster is a general warehouse; they buy from the manufacturers, at the lowest cost, which in my experience means the lowest available quality.
