My mechanic here in Charleston tried to sell me a very low mileage 470 a week ago. I can't afford it so I passed. He said the seller is trying to get rid of it quick so a lowball bid is not out of the equation.

I think I found a 100. 2000 model year, rear AC, every other option.

95,000 miles, owner is getting the 90k service done on Saturday. Just put all new brakes and tires on it. Been serviced at Toyota the entire life (and will check the VIN at Toyota before I pull the trigger).

Asking $18,000...sounds sweet to me...and it is a cool color too!

I went ahead and called up my mechanic to ask about the 470. Figured I might get a finder's fee in some future discounted labor if they know it was me who helped sell it.

Dan, it's a 2001 LX470. 49K miles. Floor mats and rear cargo mats still bagged. Brand new Michelin tires. They're asking $35K in the paper, but the owner would take $28.5K to get it off his hands. Ben says it's pristine and "has all the goodies."

If you want it, let 'em know that their customer Lawrence told you about it.

Still planning on calling them. If I can get a well maintained 2000 with 95k local for $18 it has to be REALLY nice to pony up 10k more to have to travel so SC to get a more expensive one. Practical vs. my wanting the toys...ahhhhhh the conflict!

I like the color as is. I can't see myself spending time and money on emblems to change the color...that seems more bling bling than just having gold from the factory?
