1st post in 80 land...

Thinking of this 80 for my wife. High miles... dealer not sure what work's been done, but it seems well cared for and clean.

What kind of miles can you get out of these motor?

What is a good compression number for its mileage at 1k ft. above sea level?

This look familiar to anyone?

That one has been listed for a while. Lot of miles for the price. It's a nice package. Go check it out thoroughly. If you can afford it, it might be a decent purchase. I think you can find same year and model for less via private owner. Your call.

I was going to trade a vehicle...that price IS way high though. I think thats why its been listed for so long.

Agreed, too high. I looked at a '97 near me with 151k on the odometer, and it was 6900.

80 series in very good condition with any mileage are getting harder to find. Expect when you find one in very good condition from the desert SW to bring a higher price as time moves on. Recently a '97 with 78k sold for $18.8K with no diff locks,. stock, and not even white There are deals out there but they dont last long enough to make a discussion.
