I’ve been tasked with installing a new Sanden compressor and ac system into a guys 61. He bought this kit from Maarten 2 years ago. There’s zero directions. Just a bunch of pictures of the finished product with no verbal directions. And there’s no pictures of where the low pressure switch or the dryer mounts. And the wiring harness is a mystery. I’ve installed (and removed) many OEM systems so I have an idea of what’s what, but lots of questions on this aftermarket set up. The wiring kit provided has what seems to be an aftermarket ac activation button. But then they supplied an OEM like switch that mates to the factory harness. Unfortunately Maarten can’t help as he’s moved and said he no longer supports this vendor. Would love to hear from someone in this community that either did the install or has a 61 with this system.

Yes, i did this last year in my HJ 61.
Had no OEM AC so i installed the same aftermarket kit. Didn't go smooth ,but it got it working.You are right, instructions suck big time but I had experience with a aftermarket Diavia AC install in my HJ60 so I had the big picture.Same components.
Start with turning the compressor so the connection face upward.
You don't need to use a lot of the wiring kit because MrT allready pre wired most of it.
 
Awesome. And crap…I really don’t like the way the compressor mount is. Not too serviceable as it’s a PITA to get those lower two bolts. Do you have any pictures of your install? And did you use the factory ac button versus the aftermarket one supplied? And where did you mount the dryer (and any pics). Lastly, the brackets they supplied with the condenser do not reach the core support. And recommendations on what you did would be helpful. And I hope you don’t mind me asking a hundred questions:)

I allready see you have the wrong condensor I think . I also got the wrong one .Took a while to convince Maarten but I got the right model after 2 months waiting. Still have the wrong one in storage.LOL.
I understand he stopped selling these kit's. Supplier s...s big time. And I pretty quick got the impression that they (Cruiserworld ) never installed a kit themselves. So here we go.

Dryer puzzle solved. Impossible to mount in the Factory location, which is besides the radiator near the second battery (24 V), with the supplied hoses .

The hose below the radiator routed under the air filter box directly to the
AC box under the dash.you can see the pressure switch on the dryer.

Had to make my own dryer bracket which was not supplied in the kit.👹.
Lucky i had the HJ 60 Diavia kit to compare.
 
Another part that did not fit to my likings was the belt for the compressor. Too short.
You can see in the first pictures I used a 1425 mm belt.

I used the OEM lookalike switch that was provided with the kit.
The evaporator provided som headaches.
Hose fittings and precut holes in the box didn't allow for a smooth routing, so I moved on of the holes and capped of the precut.

Electrical,
There is a 10A OEM AC fuse prewired in the truck .
The connector for the compressor is prewired. Single spade connector near the alternator.
Then use the OEM connector under the dash for the evaporator. That means ,you need to cut the wires and connect that to the pressure switch and thermister circuit and of course the singel spade connector which is connected to the other end at the compressor. The cable between the thermister and pressure switch is the only cable you need to install yourself due to the dryer location and the temp-switch on top of the evaporator.
1 cable with 2 wires.
Just follow the wire colour's in the OEM AC diagram and it will all make sense.

This one fits whit the provided hoses in the kit. Well in my kit anyway .

If my assumptions are correct then they provided you just like me with this condenser.

Because the whit is to small i think this one is for a early 70 series. 73/74/75 maybe.
 
One more thing,
On my provided lookalike AC switch they had the wires connected to the wrong spades.
Either the light was on or the compressor was activated.
Switched the spades in the connector and bang light on ment ac on .😁

Exact same. Seems like CW was consistent sending the wrong condenser. The one I have matches the one you originally received as well.

Will get this on order. Since it may be a month or two, may try to see if I can rig this 70 series condenser to work until the correct one comes in.

Alright ma man. I installed the evap plenum yesterday and this electrical topic is on my mind now. I’m far from “skilled” in this arena, but can typically follow instructions. What you wrote in this post will get me started. I do not have a wire diagram for the 61, but the 60 wire diagram is the same I believe. I appreciate all your help with this.

That i why you need a 2wire cable from the Dryer into the cabin near this square connector.

This is good. Really good SVED. So to confirm, I cut the Black/White & Yellow, connector (red arrows) and connect to the appropriate pin on the thermistor and pressure switch. Correct? What about the black/white single clip circled in red. Then I loop pin 1 on the pressure switch to pin 2 on the thermistor. Correct? How do I know which is pin 1 & pin 2 on the pressure and thermistor? And this must be the factory compressor wire down by the alternator. Correct.
