Anyone heard anything on LX600? (USA)

Took her for a spin yesterday and came away impressed. Good power and responsive, steering and trans was very smooth. I did like the seating position compared to my Land cruiser. I was worried the screen would be in my viewing angle but that is not the case. Also the screen is bigger in person compared to seeing photos online. The front seat was very comfortable and the space was plentiful. I will keep my deposit with them and see how long it takes for a vehicle to arrive. I am number 90 on their list and number 7 on the color way fsport specs I requested. If it gets too late into the summer I may go a different direction since we will be heading into 2023 releases and this would be a 2022 MY. I have been eyeing a capstone sequoia as well.

wish it had a pano roof and the back seats seemed a little smaller than my LC200 yet the specs I see online appear to be the same leg room. also wish the fsport steering wheel was thicker.View attachment 2936250View attachment 2936251View attachment 2936252View attachment 2936253View attachment 2936254

That thing is bad arse!

Dealer called today, they got their first allocation, however, it was a luxury trim. (I am looking for F-sport but would consider others depending on the build)

I considered it, as I it was the color combo that I wanted and had AHC, however, it didn’t have the appearance package and I really don’t care for the silver grill and wheels.

They said they believe they will get 1 allocation month, hopefully the stars align next month.

I assume they have another buyer? If not, what dealer? I'm on a couple of dealer waitlists for a luxury with AHC.

I just reached out to them for you. Yes, it was sold to someone on the waitlist.

Just heard from our dealer. They said that Lexus told them to inform folks on the waitlist that they will not be likely to get their LX600 this year. Chip shortage being the main issue. They were also told to refund our deposit, however, we (supposedly) get to maintain our place in line.

Interestingly, they also received direction from Lexus that those on the waitlist had to live within the same state. Seems like an effort to pare down the list perhaps. Thankfully, we are in the same state, so no penalty to us.

This does give me pause to consider the Sequoia, if perhaps it is more widely available upon release. 🤔

Are you working with the Denver or C. Springs dealership? We are on the list with the C. Springs dealership and have not received that call yet.

Not what I wanted to hear…

Colorado Springs. Might be worth giving them a call. We do have a special order placed where we chose the trim, color, and options. I don’t know if that was a factor.

Talked to our salesman today and he didn’t mention it. We were told we were #5 or #6 when we dropped the deposit. We also gave them specific trim, options and color.

Well I'm not sure how to take that! I wouldn't say I'm encouraged by it. It sounded like we were maybe #2 or #3 when we made our deposit (they were vague with me also). Since I'm programmed to distrust car dealerships, I halfway expect the worst: by accepting a refund on our deposit, perhaps we did lose our spot in line. I considered not taking back the deposit, but they said we wouldn't lose our place. Whatever happens, it is very odd that you would be treated differently. I'll be interested to see your updates, @Bighead!

I’ll post up if anything changes.

My mom went to Lexus in San Antono today to get her car serviced. She mentioned to them that I have a deposit on an lx600 in Houston. The dealership told her, they have recieved 2 this year, expecting 30 total this year and back ordered 2 years. Not looking good.

Our long-term loaner showed up today. Time to start playing with parts fitments.

I passed on one about 6 weeks ago. The dealer thought it would arrive on their lot in about 3 weeks, also expected to get a new LX every month.

Talked to dealer on Monday, they have not gotten another allocation and the one I passed on has still not shown up on their lot….

I think most of us are in for a long wait…

AHC truck or not?

Man get ready for fun wheel spec fitments.

I think flares will be needed for anything not custom made (forged). I had to get spacers made to run a 285/50R22 Ridge Grappler on an F Sport.

Non-AHC

Awesome!

Kurt I can't wait to see what you come up with. We have a non-ahc truck coming for a build as well.

Got a set of wheels made for it a few months ago.

Why in the world did you put ridge grapplers in a set of 22’s…. Seems like putting crampons on a pair of flip flops.
