I wasn't a fan of Orange until I saw Tony Twiddy's FJ45 in person.

That is pretty. I want a bit more red in mine and I will keep the white stripe on the hood and a white cap on the hard top. Might even go back to white wheels then. Go for a bit of a retro look to match the age of my rig.

There is a great story about two guys named Dan and I coming out of mirror lake. Dan #1 was driving a Jeep, Dan #2 was driving his built Scout and I was in the 40. The spotters were yelling for Dan to turn his wheels, etc. Dan #1 high centered and had to be winched, Dan #2 rolled his rig, I drove out after I winched the both of them.

This was all within 50'.

much more mangled, faded and multicolored now.

Color was the cheapest fleet truck omaha orange they had at Napa.

Thanks for all the pics of Ooange 40s. Totally dig the color. Now to make a final choice between dune beige or hugger orange.

If you can see on my Avatar, I will keep the white section onthe hood and the white cap. Either way, I think the wheels will need to be white instead of black. Can't beleive the hardest decision for this rig is the color.

What do you guys think?
Guess I should worry about finishing up installing my 60 series axle in front and welding up the new spring perches.

Hugger orange, bought it painted that way, kind of grew on me - in the process of repainting the hood hooks, mirrors, etc. back to pewter.
