I saw a pig with a 502 in 10-15 years ago in 4wheel drive offroad... That was a tight fit!

If a Cummins 6BT can fit in there a 454 should be able too???

P. Pillard did do the 6bt conversion, but i don't think it really FIT. Cutting of the firewall and a bunch of other mods to stuff it in. Its ALL motor when you lift the hood, also pretty cool!

He did do some cutting but he didn't have to. He was all mad at himself for cutting some holes in the firewall and tranny hump. He did them before he had his transmission and transfer case, because he was in a rush. So when he did get them he discovered he had cut holes in his rig when he didn't have to.

 why would you use a big block. small block is much more versatile, cheaper, better gas mileage, etc.

If you have already got a BB why not go for it! They put big blocks in 1/2 ton trucks and cars so a lancruiser can surely take the torque as long as you are reasonable with the petal. As for mileage if you are driving a hunk of iron are you really worried about mileage!!
