Jon, keep in mind too that by mounting the York on it's side, you're essentially bathing the piston & rings in oil. This is sure to lead to additional blow-by when compared to a York mounted in it's upright position. When they're upright, the cylinder walls & piston rings only get splashed in oil, not submerged.
 
Yeah, I don't imagine being on it's side is helping things.
However, Kilby and York both say that it makes no difference. But all the Kilby systems have a seperator and reoiler built in anyway. That and York made it to be part of a closed system that circulated the oil.
I swapped the 145 psi switch with the original 120 psi switch and the lower operating pressure seems to help the blow-by.
The new coalescer is on the way too so it should all come together eventually.
Do you guys run any air horns off yours?
