Funny, I was thinking that anything that got me within range of fudge was good for me. Let's do it!

I don't see any kind of difficulty rating in that review, any idea Kevin?

Friday morning?

Don't know, haven't been there before. I have read a couple of other reviews that I can't find right now? In them they say that the "most difficult and dangerous part of the trip" noted in this review has been bypassed. The other reviews had stock trucks in the group, so if I had to guess, 3.0-3.5 ish, with plenty of optional play stuff.:D

It starts near Bumble Bee and ends near Cleator, so if it's more than we want to do there are plenty of options. There are 13 mines along it, Bland Mine, Hidden Treasure Mine, Howard Copper Mine, Silver Cord Mine, Roosevelt Mine, Last Change Mine, Golden Belt Mine, Golden Turkey Mine, Grey Goose Mine, Thunder Bolt Mine, Howard Silver Mine, French Lilly Mine and Silver Christmas Mine.

9:30 Bumble Bee - Bumble Bee in town

sorry for the late notice everyone - see you tomorrow

Sorry, I have been out of town today. Bumble Bee turnoff of I-17 is about 40 miles north of PHX, it only goes west, quickly turns to a good dirt road, a few miles down is the "town". I don't know of a "good" meet place, but there are only about 10 buildings there, so just look for other LandCruisers!

I-17 has construction from 101 to Carefree Hwy, so allow some extra time for delays.

I would like to get at least one more trail day in over the weekend, open to suggestion.

we found the GPS (no, it was not in the truck in storage )

Michael is programming the mine locations as we speak :D

I have applicable topomaps :D

see y'all tomorrow :bounce:

I'm gonna pass on this one, I'd be alone with my daughter for the first time on a fairly long day of wheeling. Plus, my wife would love to do something Sunday...

- please let me know if you decide to run something then. Suggestions- Log Corral and the powerline road to the Sunflower Mine road, or something else near Crown King like DeSoto (Kevin, didn't you have an alternate route to explore up there somewhere?), or something interesting near 4 Peaks- all I've seen out there were basically dirt roads, it would be cool to find something fun out that way.

I been thinking of hitting a "Massey" trail or two with the family, something scenic on Saturday. Haven't quite convinced the fam to give up on the zoo idea yet thought. Looking for something close by, was lookiing at the 3 around Gila Bend in the book. All look real easy, don't know if there's more down there to add.
