Even with a 12mm body lift if you can get full compression ~34"+ tires will hit the fender.

are you talking 295's (or their 18" equivalents)? You got me worried about going back to OEM t-bars... Even the :princess: was astounded with the lack of articulation and clearance...:lol::lol:

Hey why do you guys get all technical? The post just asked if anyone has KM2's and I showed mine. My projects just getting started so ease up a little fellas. Some of us dont have the bookoo bucks that others do. I love my 100 and much more is to come! STAY TUNED!

Geez, this thread got hijacked with a "ghost post" of articulation.

I'm talking 34"+. No OEM t-bars either...AHC baby:cool::D

In my 6 years on this board, first time I've ever heard somebody complain about a thread getting too technical. :p But whatever, welcome aboard MastaYota!

You'll get used to it. There's always a little make fun of the new guy. You are totally welcome here and I think you truck looks sweet with those shoes. People want to make sure you get home safe, that's all. It's a discussion about how well that tire can be made to fit the 100 properly. Or the other way around. I know they cut the fenders on Blueberry, but who's next? Sazall the wheelwells party at Loud's. Dan how far back are your's hammered?

Me hoser and spress all just trimmed the plastic bulge on the liner behind the tire as u can see in phils shot. Then we(Dan cut his) hammered over the pinch weld so it sat parellel with the surface of the tire tread when pointed straight.

It's not that its too technical guys, cmon im a Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician with 9 years under the Toyota brand. I just meant that the "Mall Cruiser" alert stuff could be kept to a minimum. A question was asked and I replied to it, if I wanted opinions I would've asked for them. My 100 works sweet offroad due to my "tricks" learned throughout the years. So bring on the technical and leave out the high school stuff.

Most of the comments were directed at a past member. You just happened to walk into the room at a bad time. Again, welcome aboard!

:cheers:Thanks hoser! Good to be a part of the Cruiser family. Hope to wheel with some of you guys soon. Chilli Challenge 2010 coming up soon!

Yota, what part of the country you in? Look me up if you're headed to CO. I'd be happy to show you around. Also check out Cruise Moab - Toyota 4x4 event in Moab, UT

They're 100 series Land Cruisers, by definition, mallcruisers.

Tell us about the chilli challenge?
Sorry we know nothing about you? (except you got big tires.)
Again, you're welcome here.

I'm in the area of West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Chilli Challenge is held usually the last week of Feb. Easy to Extreme trails spread out over 4 days. Last year over 250 rigs made the trip. Check out some of the videos on youtube, just type in 2009 Chilli Challenge. I'm trying to get out to Moab soon but the 100 needs alot more work to be Moab ready.

Psst - somebody tell MastaYota there's only one 'l' in Chili, and it's actually 'Chile', like the pepper or the country , not 'Chili', like the meat and beans dish. You must not be from around here. Welcome anyway. We'll forgive you. And check out the High Desert Cruisers club page. We're probably your closest 'local' club.

Why is there no mention about bump stopping the front when running 34'+ tires? I can tell you without question if I turn my tires to lock either way and compress the front without bump stops I will crush the fender. Are OME T-bars so stiff you cant get full compression out of them or what?

I had to do a little trimming and a 16mm BL to get my 36x12.5x16 Simex ET II's to work but I didn't mess with the bump stops. At full lock they rub the chassis and upper arm a little but instead of adjusting the stops I adjusted how far I turn the wheel :D (part time tyres not DD). I don't think I could run them with spacers without more cutting in the area already indicated above. With the 16mm BL they rubbed a little at full compression but didn't grab anything, maybe I don't wheel hard enough . With the 40mm BL there's no body rubbing anymore :) This is with about a 10mm AHC lift, AHC on N as I only use H when I need more break over clearance. If the rear rubs I'm not seeing or hearing any evidence of so far. I'd like to try them with 10mm spacers but haven't found any that thin yet.

I have some 20mm wheel spacers to experiment with for the 285x70x16's I DD tyres when they move onto the OEM 18's I got recently but at the moment they're on none OEM 18's with about 25mm extra offset and would occasionaly rub on the upper inner fender area and the washer bottle cover on the one side I think with the 16mm BL but not at all with the 40mm BL.

That will definitely be my next set, both tire model and size. Too bad I just bought a new set of AT K/Os 6 months ago and I only drive the truck about 4,000 miles/year. I'll have to wait until I can justify replacing them because they are old.

Thanks, that gives me better idea of how they look under such a big vehicle

2000 your a tard:D

Do you have a lift staggrlee ?
