Any Norcal day trips planned?

That was a fun and safe trip, and I'm glad everything went smoothly. The rain and snow really shows the advantages of lockers. I was having a tough time with the icy stuff.

Here's something funny though, this is a semi-rant. I got a speeding ticket on the way up there, with the 3FE no less. Was doing 55 in an apparently 40 zone. I'm not a speeder, and I certainly wouldn't be doing 15 over when its raining. The thing is that the speed limit seems to change every 7.43 seconds on Hwy 4, which I'm not used to. Oh well, I feel better now.

Couple pics of Corral Hollow. There was a "hmm" moment when some Jeeps were gunning it up this slick hill, and they were like 2 ft apart from each other.

EDIT: Wanted to say that its Ken and Paul in these pics.

Cool pics! Is the snow on Corral Hollow? We went on that trail this Summer while the wildflowers were out and we liked that trail alot. The Bear Trap cabin is cool.

We want to come in from the first entrance with our offroad tent trailer and camp at the look out area just before the ski run!

Ya the snow is corral hollow.
Its a really nice area, easy trail when dry.

Looks like a great trip. I will have to try and make the next run on those trails. I was too busy yesterday. Maybe next time.

Just confirming that those are both off of Hwy 4?, if not where are they?

Jack

Jack, yeah those are off of Hwy 4.

Ken, I did a search and read that the max for a first offense is $100. Not sure how up to date that is though. I'm hoping it'll be way lower than that, because my record is so clean you could eat off it. I'll have to go to traffic school to get the point wiped off.

Very nice write up Paul.
I wish I could have been there.

Regards

Alvaro

Brilliant write up, we will have to do that again.

Looks like a storm is scheduled for X-mas day and a couple days afterwards. Should be a couple feet or so of snow up on Iron Mountain Road. So, anybody wanna do a snow run? Preferably somebody with a quick way to air back up, because my el cheapo compressor takes over an hour.

I would be ready to go as soon as tuesday after x/mas.

LETS GO!!!

It's on then. Tuesday might be good. I just wanna give the storm some time to dump some snow. Got an air compressor or tank we can use? Ain't getting too far without airing down.

I would love to go. However, I have all my family here from abroad.
Wheeling is out of the question while they're here.
