Beretta,

What's your previous welding experience?
I'd suggest you find someone who knows what they are doing.

Send lagwagon a PM. He's in Davis, maybe he can point you in the right direction.

Regards

Alvaro

Weld repairs are not cheep , most shops wont turn on the welder for less than 50.00$ .
this is prolly not a good canadate for a first time welder ( if in fact you are ? )
This repair will cost you waaaay more if it is not done corectly.
You might want just whore your body out or something and get some extra cash and have someone do it right . my .02

I took an "intermediate" welding course last summer, and welded together my bed frame as a project. I can make two pieces of metal stick together, but haven't welded since then. I wanna get it done right, or at least semi-right, but I've exhausted my options. Honestly, crawling under there and welding it does NOT seem like fun, and it'll be my last option. I'll give lagwagon a PM.

Haha, whoring? Thats the GF's department...

The one guy that would do it said 1-2 hours of labor. I'm thinking damn it, why can't somebody just take 10 mins to weld it on there already. If it ends up that I do weld it myself, I'll take my time and study it, and put reinforcements in.
