Hey guys

I'll be heading to the above mentioned trip mid of April with mit 100 series and a small offroad trailer with RTT. Total duration about 12 days, I plan to stay in each area at least 2 nights.

I will head asap to GC (south, as I guess North Rim is still closed at that time).

Have a general idea about "tourist guide spots", but looking for input/ help/ suggestions on the following:
- nice campspots that leave the pack behind
- restaurant/ deli suggestions (prefer local ones)
- trails, especially connection trails between those parks

I'm aware about the backcountry trails around Az and UT, already loaded their gpx files into Gaia.

So in case anyone can suggest some things, happy to see it here or via PM. I'm not an Insta guy, too old fo rthat stuff! So your spots stay with me/ in the forum ;-)

Looking forward to any input.

Already do your trip?

We did a short and direct route out on the way out to SAS last year.

We stayed at Touqerville falls, then drove through Zion to 89 and over east on 12

Stayed at oak creek reservoir (cool trail to get up there) between Boulder and Torrey. Took 24 to 70 due to time to get to Ouray.

I would love suggestions on a longer trip.

Thanks! 🙏

There is months worth of travel to do in that area. One of my favorite ways to connect Moab (Canyonlands/Arches) to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon is via Utah Traverse. (Red track, info here)

You can easily add/subtract stuff to move destinations.

For example continue on dirt to Moab via Bears Ears/Abajo Mountains, Beef Basin, Elephant Hill and Lockhart Basin. I’ve done some trip reports on that segment, it would be something like this: (highlighted in blue)

From Moab, you can choose a few options into Colorado, aside from pavement, Rimrocker being my preferred (highlighted in blue)
