Any Norcal day trips planned?

We'll post up again next time...whether it's in this thread or if a new one is started.

It was good to meet you newer guys.

Ko - I can't blame your son for feeling a bit creeped out. :)
What really surprised me is that we didn't see the "General Lee" jumping across the creek :D It would've made the day perfect. Even with the crowd as large and liquored up as it was, most people seemed fairly well behaved.

Until next time...

Hey Dylan, have you been on that trail from Bear River Reservoir that ends up by Kirkwood? I think it's called Pardoes, We went on it back in 99 and had a blast!! The next day we went on a trail that I can't remember where it started but we crossed Deer Creek, and ended with a rock garden at Hwy 4 in Arnold. Have you been on those trails? We did it in a Tacoma which is longer than my 80, so I thinki it's doable. Whe the snow melts of course!!

nah i havent been out that much, i just finished my SOA project recently so i havent been out yet. However I know the trails you are speaking of. the trail from bear river goes all the way to salt springs and on to silver lake i dont know about kirkwood. also you can take the turn into red lake all the way down to silver lake. on sunday 1/15, i went to PiPi and went down omo ranch road. definetly sweet, a good amount of snow, i bummed i missed the trip you guys just took. next time. . . _Dylan

Joshua,

The trail that ends up in Kirkwood. I should say, across from Kirkwood is Strawberry. It starts on mile post 42 on Hwy 50 and goes all the way (13 miles) to Hwy 88. It's a blast. But it should be done late summer. A good part of the trail is pretty high and you might encounter snow if you go early.

Let's do it this year.

Regards

Alvaro

Dylan,

We have a mailing list.
http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/80scool_usa_norcal/

Six or seven of us started it about 3 years ago. Now it has grown quite a bit. It's more of a social (get together, outings, events) thing since most of the tech stuff gets discussed here.

There is were we plan most of our outings, normally before they get published here.

Regards

We are Norcal wagons. From the 55 to the 120 series.
We don't discriminate. Plus Andy sneaks his 40 series all the time.

alright sweet, you guys have any trips comin up? i know Doug was sayin somethin about anza borega in february sometime, thats down south right? im a senior in high school so i couldnt make the long week long stuff, but i could definetly make the 1 or 2 day trips. thanks man, it would be pointless to just sign up to your club without knowing about it. . .haha. _Dylan

Dylan,
Feel free to sign up and follow the threads. I'd like to hit up the hwy88/4 trails this coming summer -- a day trip here and there might be cool. Sort of break up the longer trips we usually have.

Nial,

Last time I checked it's a wagon.
A little crude, but a wagon none the less.

Hey there, lets not get personal...

It's not THAT crude...

True, I stand corrected.
Now this thing has a great lift. I can't tell from the pic. Is it SOA?
