Trying to gauge any interest in a remade FJ60 radio plate? Here's my prototype.

My thoughts were to create this with knock-outs for the factory radio. Or the knock-outs could be left in to create a radio delete plate. Of course the final versions would be in black.

I don't know what the final costs would be but I'm shooting for $25 + shipping.

I don’t particularly need one but I might keep one in storage at that price. Seems like a lot of factory radios might be missing the plate or have damage.

When the radio is gone, there's a big honkin hole there that is PRIME real estate to retrofit a pocket or something that utilizes that most valuable space. To cover it up with a plate seems tragic and such a waste. How about at least a pocket?

I plan to use it as a radio plate for the factory radio. The PO of my 60 hacked the original plate up installing an aftermarket radio, but he kept the original radio. I thought by putting in the knock-outs, it would let buyers use it how they wished. Maybe trim it to fit an aftermaket radio? Or just use it to cover the odd shaped radio hole?

That’s the plan if their is sufficient interest.

I Personally Think this Knock-out Concept Vision Idea id Brilliant ..........

I personally am very interested , and would easily Place a Pre-Production Order of at least 6-8 plates

maybe 10 ............

i have over 20 + Factory Toyota Analog Tuner Peg style that has the same spread as the fj60 face plate

GOOD JOB @cooney .............!

I'd be interested in one in smooth black. I've got a stock radio I'd like to install in my 60.

I'm in for a one in black as well. PO installed an after-market radio that has been flopping around for years. The plan to remove the dash, fab some underdash radio supports, and this would finish it off nicely!

i'm surprised there as so many who don't want their tunes? AM? Is that a thing still? I don't think I have listened to AM in about 15 years. And for 15 years I have Sirius Radio..
I'm even thinking of putting an Alpine Halo into the dash hole. As it works with single din. 9-Inch Alpine Halo9 Mech-less Audio/Video Receiver
