BUt, fromwhat ive been told...they are "rust traps" and better off without. FTR OEM is very hard to come buy and upwards of $800+ if ya find em
I have been looking everywhere for about a year. No dice.
I made the mistake of buying a full set on ebay around the time I bought my '88 Fj62, before I knew what I was looking at. So I now have the full set of flaps that pair with the OEM fender flares.... which of course won't work. I was considering an attempt to modify this set to fit without the fender flares, but after A LOT of measuring the modification would have to be so major that it wouldn't look good.
The units Florida Yard is selling may be our best and only option, but their product is meaningfully different in regard to the hardware. Where are the vertical Frame supports?? As crazy as it sounds, my '88 still has the OEM metal frame supports bolted inside the wheel wells. All four. I have to imagine one of the previous owners cut the flaps off the frame supports rather than unbolting them. What the what????!
