So we just took all the glass out of our body. Glass guy said the windshield molding was cheaper than a windshield, so he cut that molding to get the glass out easy.

I see threads that say there are seals available that don't take a locking strip. Are there also seals that do?

Any preference for one or the other?

Next question is the seals themselves. The windshield had been replaced in the past, and only had the chrome strips. The back 3 glass pieces still had the factory chrome, with the plastic underneath. The plastic is quite brittle and broken up. And, much of the chrome was damaged in the removal process.

Glass guy said there is universal locking strips available, but didn't have any specific experience. I also saw a thread that mentioned non-chrome replacement strips, as the oem ones aren't available. I also saw mentioned where some say the glass will stay in even without the locking strips at all.

Our preference is the chrome, factory look. Are those available anywhere?

What are our options? Thanks
