Any DIY roof rack options? (1 Viewer)

I would like to install a roof rack and I've been looking at everything available but they are all close to or over $1,000. I don't know that I would get $1,000 worth of use out of a roof rack at this point.

I did a search but didn't know if anyone here has done a diy version for cheaper?

Please to tell me more. This is EXACTLY what I was shooting for. What do you think was your total cost? Also, what specific size did you order the 80/20 in? What is the front faring, bought or made?

I’m sorry to say I half-assed it. After ordering the towers I paid shipping twice to get the parts I needed- not advised. Give me a day and I’ll put together a parts list. I ordered from T-Nutz because the $ was better. The fairing I made myself, and am actually in the middle of adjusting. The roof contour was wrong on the first attempt.
