Mine snapped off just like everyone else’s when I changed out the thermostat. Right now I have the connector folded away and not connected. I can’t tell if it’s affecting anything. And I can’t find any new ones for under a Benjamin.

What are the consequences of running without ?

Any secret sources for new affordable replacements?

PM sent.

I also broke mine and have not replaced it in a few months. I have not noticed a difference, please let me know what you find out.

I “hot wired” mine, turn it on and off as needed. It’s been this way for 3 years, no issues.

Mine is also unhooked and haven’t noticed any difference... I’m in the south east so it doesn’t get that cold

I replaced mine a few weeks ago. I got the Beck/Arnley part for $112 from rockauto.com. It turned out to be an OEM Toyota part.

I got a replacement thru @pappy. In the meantime I pulled the cold start injector and brushed it, then soaked it in carb cleaner. Then ran it by hooking leads up the the terminals. I don’t know that this is the correct method of servicing the part. But it worked for me. All is well.

At what coolant temp should the switch do something? I'm assuming it just riches up the fuel trim correct?

Mine broke off too. Can I run without it?

Mine has been broke for years now with no problems. I have not been where its really cold only in the 30's but it starts fine.
