A little lift, not a little question -

I'm fitting just a little larger tire, 33"; and want to avoid rub so will use torsion bar adjustment for about 1" up front. Questions are:

1. If I'm raising the front an inch; do I need a diff drop? at what increase does the risk for CV leak increase?

2. If you're just raising the front an inch - what do you do with the rear?

I'm changing tires, taking off running boards, getting new rubber, adding gas shocks and calling it good

thanks for the opinions

Your truck has a very slight rake as is from the factory, so bringing the front end up only 1" won't affect anything. With any amount of lift you're changing the angles on the CV's, so there is the possibility of a leak, depends on what shape your CV's are already in, how the rubber is, etc. However, with 1" I really doubt you'd see any issues.

FYI: You can run 33" tires without having to raise either the front or the rear springs.
