Ok, guys so my working this weekend produced a final bracket design and a partial tray design (not 100% happy with the firment yet). The wole R&D thing took a little longer than expected (went through about 3 different designs and I am a perfectionist). So long story short, the brackets will not be ready to ship until the 29th I am assuming (going on a camping trip next weekend). Didnt mean to get your hopes up but I hope you guys can hold on that long.

Here are the people that I have on the list so far:

1)Cappy (LX)
2)3D FJ (LX)
3)Oregon (LC)
4)staggrlee (LC)
5)Schlite60 (LX)
6)videre studios? (LX)
7)sonk? (LX)

anyone else?

Each kit includes:
battery clamp for approprate vehicle (sandblast finish)
battery tray fitted for DH31 battery (sandblast finish)
copper buss
all appropriate hardware
pads for clamp

The final price will be $70 shipped. Sorry for the low ball earlier.

Love it! One thought: would it be possible to have the strap be adjustable in width on the inboard side? Since this is such a nice device, I'd hate to scrap it if I ended up with a slightly different battery next time. Just thinking that maybe that cross bar could be slotted and the angle piece have a stud and wingnut?

Edit: take your time. Sept is fine for me.

maybe on the next batch that could be a possibility. For now it looks like you will have to stick to a group 31:flipoff2:! For that sort of design, it would be hard to fit the stud and have the crossbar and battery still fit flush (atleast at a quick thought). Although, anything is possible...

I think you could do it pretty easily and probably save some time/cost. Just WJ a square into the angle piece and have a carriage bolt come in from below to fit into the square.. Then WJ a 1" long slot in the croassbar and you're done and it would save two welds. The compression from the strap would hold the angle in place, the bolt/wingnut would be just to keep it from vibrating out of place as it flexes with use.

Wow the logo looks like it will signifigantly weaken the top strap. maybe wider strap?

I was able to put my leaning body weight on the LC one. The LX one was not as strong for obvious reasons. But as long as you do not stand on it you should be fine due to the way the loading occurs on the clamp. Its all about the application.

EDIT: weight was on the middle of the strap and not bolts.

hmm. how about smaller logo? or thickening the two strips that interrupt the circle around the L.. hmm

I think I'm in for one but I will wait to see yours this weekend to discuss. Make sure you have one installed or at least with you.

haha, sure thing!

If the DIEHARD MARINE 31 battery is the one to have, I would like one as well.
