The old girl looks better already! Glad to see that she is getting the attention I could not give her. Look forward to seeing her completed. Sounds like you have some big plans. Keep it up!

Thanks Paul! I am giving it my best shot, anything I can't tackle will be done by the pros. I am just going to keep adding to this post so stay tuned dude.

You find another cruiser yet?

Well I got a little more done today, and my IPOR rear bumper should be in on Tuesday :D

I found this paint at autozone or advance can't remember which, it is a pretty damn close match to the original color.

Here you can really tell how the paint matches up so close.

If the other side turns out this well, I think I will stick with the rattle can and work on it piece by piece in my driveway. This was sort of a trial run.

did the grill and headlight pieces while I had it apart. I like the way the black grill looks.

Well with the weather being dog crap I couldn't do any more work on the body. But my IPOR rear bumper came in and after trying to mount it I decided to make some brackets so it would be a little more secure and line up a little better (my original brackets were F'd).

I got this for $3 at the scrap yard

Then after getting those GD rivets out of the way I drilled, leveled, and bolted it up. It looks pretty stout compared to the stock bracket. I still need to POR all of this crap so it stays rust free.

Chad,

Thank you for that write up. I am sure I will be using it in the next week or two.

Well I finally got the bumper mounts done and the finished product looks pretty good I think.

When I got the bumper from IPOR it was a little bent and scratched (neither Cam or Lance knew about this before it shipped). I called them up and Lance was very professional about it. Cam called me up and gave me a great deal on a new OME heavy/med full suspension kit.

I am very pleased with both the quality of their product and their customer service. Thank you IPOR! You will have my business in the future for sure. I am thinking new front seats may be in order.

This is how it looked when I got it.

After some heat and BFH treatment it turned out pretty good.

I got my OME lift and ARB front bumper earlier this week. Got the ARB and front springs done yesterday, should have the rears finished up by afternoon today.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MARINES! 232 years of making s*** happen!

Done with the ARB and OME install, now just need to fill up the wheel wells with some 33's.

A little cruiser lean but it will even out. And yes the "A" spring is in the driver rear.

Thanks for the props cumapart!

Well the body work is coming along, slowly but surely. You can tell I still have to smooth out the rear quarter panel a bit.

She's coming along nice. Thanks for the heads up on the paint you found. My color is the same. I hadn't looked for any yet, but now I know where I can find some.

Looks great man! Cruise on.

Man the cruiser looks great! She is starting to finally look like I know she should. Keep up the good work and keep the pictures coming. Hope you had a good holiday.

Ha Ha, they do look pretty dumb with the lift on.

The tires in the rear are 31's and a smaller metric size in the front. So no 4x4 until i get my new tires mounted. New 33's are probably going to be my Christmas present to myself.
