You've probably got a good chance of taking no damage. There are multiple lines for most stuff as well, so you don't have to take the hard lines.

Did you guys see the refbacks at the bottom of this page. The AZvirtual jeep club is having a large gathering and camping on Payette that same weekend. It's gonna be crowded up there that weekend. FYI

.....And as expected, not the most flatterning refferals to Toyota's from the Jeep crowd. FJ = Fake Jeep?
 
Perhaps we should look back to labor day weekend. wouldn't want to embarass the alcohol powered crowd...

Did you see the line that said "good, something to crawl on" refering to our inept Toyotas. Ah, whatever, I'm not going anyway.

I have zero issue with sharing the trail with a bunch of heepers:hillbilly:, that trail has plenty of room. The issue is their favorite camp site probably is the same as ours, so that would get crowded. I vote we go back to the original date, the 30th, it's also a better date for several members. The only issue I see with that is, we will have to unstack their leftovers to make the trail challenging again.;p

That and it being a holiday weekend. And the issue of changing dates because some Jeeps want to use the trail too. I am impressed that only two a****** comments were made, that actually raises my opinion of Jeep owners.

I wouldn't have a problem with sharing the trail, in fact I like to mix and mingle, but I understand if people don't want to spend the day caterpillering up a fairly long trail. My wife actually liked the next weekend better for work purposes- she would have to switch weekends with a co-worker to go on the original date. So, let's figure it out and get it set in stone.

BTW, I'm running the Filter this time. With any luck the first ledge will have been stacked with broken Jeeps by the time I get there. A yellow one, a green one, and a twisted one. :D

I guess they never heard that Payette is an unpublished trail, they posted directions to it. :rolleyes:

I vote for the 30th too. Any weekend there are bound to be others on the trail even if it's "unpublished". Plus it gives me another week to get the 40 better and round up a trailer.
 
I put all my eggs into the weekend of the 23rd basket for camping. Anyone in the same boat. Alternation locations?

I may still be able to make a Saturday run at Payette the following week but serious doubt I'd be able to camp unfortunately.

Not that I was ever officially in but I'm now out... for either weekend.
 
I've been posting from my blackberry - I can't camp weekend of 30th, but my mother wants to go and will be in on labor day weekend so...I say 30 August is the date. Meet @ Maverick or camp. My truck remembers (and fears) the way to the trail..
 
I'm out as well.....conflicts, conflicts, conflics. I am still planning on going up the 23rd and camping though.

So, what, it's like Kevin, Carl, me (with or without my 80) and maybe Spike?
How can 3 - 5 Cruisers interfere with a buncha Heeps?
. o O ( Guess I should get some hooks on my bumpers for strapping them out of their predicaments. ) ;)
