annual meeting minutes

well the meeting went well last night. thanks again to Steve and Wendy for hosting.
the officer positions stayed the same (big surprise)

Treasurer- Skipper

webmaster-Jon and added to help-Ron

we made the final decision on getting moving on the web hosting change. Ron (slimbuhda) will gather the final info and start the change process. Dave Aley was present last night(great to see you again Dave!) and said he would tranfer the hdcruisers.org name to whatever our new hosting service is. once it's done, members will get a certain amount of space to put up their own site space off the main one. that will be explained in datail when it happens.

next meeting is scheduled for Saturday, Feb 2nd.
and the next run is Superbowl Sunday, Feb 3rd.
the Chile Challenge is Feb 20-24 for anyone wanting to go. Steve H and I have our trails picked out, contact one of us if you want to see what we signed up for.

i think that's it, so if i forgot something, post it up.

Is there an adress for Skipper so that I can mail him a check. Has the club ever thought about setting up some sort of paypal account so that we could do electronic payments?

We have discussed getting an HDC Paypal account. I think Steve is looking into what it will take. It has only been 2 years so he should have the information we need in a few months.

It's been brought up a couple of times but both times was voted down by . Now that we're getting further from the 1900's we should probably try again.

Since we are not incorporated, and since we don't have a bank account, getting a club PayPal is not possible. It would need to be in an individual's name, which means it would change each time they move to Salida, Famington, Louisiana, Alaska, etc.

Is that "and" we don't have a bank account, or is it "or" we don't have a bank account. To dispense with the nor gate logic, can we get one if we have a bank account?

Catch 22. You cannot get a bank account unless you are an individual or a corporation (yes, they will require documentation) and you cannot get a Paypal account without a bank account and a verifiable address. The post-911 world doesn't allow anonymous banking transactions.

We'd like to, but as of right now we have 3 dogs and 6 puppies. So we already have a full house

Yea, if you hosted you'd have to check bags & pockets as folks departed to make sure the pups didn't have help sneaking out!

I would host, but gotta be at the police vs fire benefit hockey game at the Arena on Saturday night. It will be before the Scorpions game. Should be a lot of fun. Anyone want tickets? Let me know and I can hook you up - they are $11.00 for both games - and it benefits the UNM burn center.
