Hello,
I was looking for an android auto/carplay solution for my 2016 LX 570. Almost went with beatsonic module, but I wanted a touch screen. I looked at head units and based on my research the new carpodgo T3 pro seemed the best, a 9inch laminated display, with excellent reviews. Pricey, cost me 200$ shipped (from China). It's not a generic rebadged unit, proper company, excellent device, love it. Blazingly fast and sleek, connects in <10s has dual Bluetooth and the works.
Mounting it was a different issue. The included mounts are fine, but the LX present an awkward problem, as I wanted the main display to still be usable as the camera views specially during off-road situations are VERY useful.
I found a kayak rail slot, and a few mounts, I wanted all aluminum to be robust and NOT shake at all while offroading. I have figured out a decent solution, thought I'd share with the folks. If you want can add part numbers of the mounts I used. I used double sided VHB generously to secure a few things. The tablet mounts jaws were not long enough but gripped enough, along with some VHB, and is working well so far.
This is all removable, no holes drilled whatsoever.
Regards
