Wow... very nice rig! Not a big fan of 62s but damn that is nice looking. Looks like it has a lot done to it already; lift, 33s, engine swap, ARB front and rear, nice stereo with what looks like bluetooth mic on the column, upgraded lights, new tach for the engine swap, and a cb?!

That's a lot of work on a very clean cruiser. Well worth the money as long as you did not pay a huge grip for it!. Is tha the original A440 or did the owner go with something like the 4L60E as well?

gregnash, the 5.3L Vortec is mated to an 4L60E. I really like this thing.

Waiting for some Trail Gear gusset kit and then on they go. I'll keep y'all posted with pics.

Sweet ride man. love that color.
Hey I've been thinking about going with that same wheel tire setup and was wondering if you are running spacers, any clearance issues and how the ride is with the Duratracs? I had them on my Tacoma and loved them.

thanks

Sev65, Thank you for the compliment. The PO didn't use any spacers and I'm not having any issues whatsoever. So far, I really like the Duratrac. I haven't been off the highway yet, but I will in two weeks.

thanks, I also just noticed you have 4runner calipers so that might make a difference. regardless I think I'm going to pull the trigger and hope for the best.

I don't think you will be disappointed. I really like them. Do a search and see what more seasoned drivers impressions may be. I hope they work out for you. A friend of mine is purchasing a Land Rover and she wants me to do an off road training course with her, so the wheels will definitely get a workout.

Got new catalytic converter installed today and no more rattling. Very pleasant to drive and much quieter on start ups. Moving forward on my additions.

Beautiful truck!
What kind of mpgs are you seeing out of the 5.3?

Ddnuts- you don't by chance have a MV Augusta motorcycle do you? Back when I was in Salem riding street bikes a guy used to go by ddnuts. Wore a helmet with dog ears I think.

Anyways, i'm in Redwood city which is 25min south of San Francisco. If your passing through hit me up. Stop by for some lunch or dinner.

Nice 60! V8 is so much better! Lol

Firephil, it's the same goofy guy. Great memory. I sold the MV last month and bought this truck. I still have the dog ears just on a different helmet. Lol. We should connect and talk Land Cruisers and bikes. I'll hit you up with my info. I'm loving the 62 so far.

Could be or maybe just the West Coast. :D You are on the way to one of our destinations. We have to catch up. Thanks for the hospitality. Glad you remembered my screen name/nickname.

Love to see some pics of the TG sliders when you get them on. I am looking at same. Agreed on the low profile rack. I just picked up the Bajarack flat/utility rack. Ordered from Columbia overland which is darn near local to you so you could skip the cost of shipping. Will post up some pictures shortly.

philthyphil, the plan is to get them put on tomorrow and primed/painted Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll definitely take pics. I'm excited to get them on. Not as much as my lady.
Funny you mention Columbia Overland as my buddy owns it. I thought they only did Land Rover stuff. I'll have to hit him up and go over there. Get those pics up, so I can check out your rig. Nice score.

I heard a crazy noise from the steering and luckily I was close to home. When I got there after some inspection I noticed that the power steering hose had worn a hole due to rubbing up against one of the pullies. Anyway I had to fix it this morning so I wouldn't be late for work. I'm learning how to repair this sucker slowly, but surely.

The new name is: GRAYSKULL
