I just finished installing a Badlands 12,000 winch on my 80 series today, and it performs quite well. I'm not too impressed with the cheesy thermal circuit breaker they include, as there really isn't an elegant way to install it.

I believe that it is comprised of three individual 50 amp breakers. Is there an aftermarket circuit breaker that I can wire inline that would allow for a cleaner installation? Perhaps one that has a switch that can be mounted to the battery tray? Would I go with a 150amp breaker?

They sink up to 500 amps, so it can't be a circuit breaker. More likely it is a thermal switch that opens at a limit temperature.

This is what I use.....
