Alright, you've all heard about our new Dual Bleeder Calipers

R1877-full.jpg

Well they are a really big deal but they have taken off way faster than we expected! 3 Months ago we added them to all of our Disc Brake Conversion Kits and sales went through the roof. In our first batch we ordered 400 pair and yesterday we ran out of the first group! Of course we had re-ordered 600 pair already but the sales of these kits have been so big the next batch will not be ready for another 3-4 weeks.

In the mean time we have had to revert to the standard brake calipers, they are the same caliper all the other companies use. Absolutely nothing wrong with them just not the Dual Bleeder models we have been offering for the last 3 months. So, we are going to offer the Complete Kits for $283 thats another $20 off the original already inexpensive price of $303!

This is for all of our kits from the 14 Bolt to the weld on kits, every last one! This deal will last only 3-4 weeks when we get the next batch in stock so take advantage of it now!

Just curious if you had any plans for a Ford Sterling disc kit?

Thanks Dan! I know I looked around the site and I just missed it I guess, I generally try not to waste a vendors time.

Quick follow-up. Why does it state that they only work up thru 94? Did the axle ends change or something for 95-97? Should the description read 85-97? I was thinking that was when those particular axles ran thru. Asking because mines a 97.

How about a disc brake conversion kit for a 1986 FJ 60?

That's easy. Install an 80 series FF rear axle. The only kit you need is the axle and the 80 e-brake cable. You need a few other things like new brake master, wheels and tires, but it's not a difficult install.

In '94 Ford changed the inner bearing width. To use this with the later years a 1/8" spacer would be required.

These guys are right, A lot of folks go with the FJ80 rear end for a few reasons, they are a little bit wider, mostly full float (if from an FZJ80), don't use c-clips, and come with disc brakes.

That being said, I do have weld-on brackets for the GM calipers, you would just need to figure out a rotor that will fit on the 60 rear end, and go from there.

I already have later model front discs, but I would be interested to hear about 40 series discs to a full floater rear if you do them...

Gaz...

Not saying there might not be some things in the works, but as of right now, I don't have a kit to adapt a stock Toyota housing to become disc brake in a bolt-on method. I have Weld-on flanges that allow you to use front Hubs/Spindles/Brakes on the rear, which also makes it full float. These are most commonly used in an aftermarket housing, or if one were re-tubing a stock housing.
