Airbag light on - No code? (1 Viewer)

Ever since I have I owned my 80 the airbag light has been on. When I check for a code with an OBD II reader I get no code. Any ideas?

Have you tried clearing the code? There is a procedure in the FSM, which although is straightforward, requires a high level of dexterity and a good dose of patience.

The problem is that no code is being thrown to clear. That's what I am trying to figure out.

FZJ80 Airbag Light

The battery on my '95 FZJ80 went completely flat. I have replaced it with a new battery. The airbag light won't go out now. How can I have this reset?

The supplemental restraint system is not part of the OBD system. Check The FSM under the Diagnostic section.

Following the fsm procedure took me about 20 times to reset it didn't realize the paper clip I was using had a plastic coat over it once I figured that out first try.
