Was changing my air filter and lifted just a little too far and split the rubber up near the TB. Does anyone have the part number for the "air cleaner hose"?

Welcome to the club, I think most of us have sacrificed one to the filter gods.
Do yourself a favor and buy a new one like you plan to...don't change course and patch it. That could lead to all sorts of bad things down the road.

If yours is old enough to crack the new one will be like night and day compared to the old one. It is much more pliable.

Mine was broken by the oil change people, I noticed them standing around looking at the car for awhile, then they drove it around the block. When they brought it back they told me there was some hesitation and it was an emission problem and wanted more money to fix it. I told them no thanks ,thinking they were just trying to make some money off of me, paid my bill and drove off. About half way home it died at a light and wouldn't idle at all. I finally got it home and popped the hood and found duct tape on the intake. That is when I called the oil changer and they pretty much denied doing it. Anyway, the point of my story is that I cleaned it really well with lacquer thinner and put a good coat of Black RTV sealant on it until I got things settled with the oil change place. Long story short, things never got settled with the oil changer and about 6 months later I sold the car with the siliconed intake hose still working flawlessly. I did tell the new owner about it and I am guessing it could still be holding on to this day. I would have replaced it had I been planning on keeping it but if you can't find one try the RTV silicone method to get you by until you can.
I have one off of my 94 (a different one) that I am not using, if you are interested in a used one I will go check the condition of it.

Although, duct tape will hold for a while. Not forever, but a while.

Just got one for my '96 from CDAN. I don't have the receipt in front of me, but I'm pretty sure it was $72 - and man is it nice and supple - I think I'll sleep with it tonight

I bought some rubber hose repair tape a while back from Home Depot and was quite impressed with it. There is no adhesive on the stuff. You stretch the hell out of it while wrapping and it bonds to itself. This would probably work well for your application. In fact, it may not be a bad idea to a roll of this in the toolbox when wheeling. Below is a link and video. I am not sure if the particular stuff I got from Home Depot is the same brand, but it works with the same principle.
