Wow, that's surprising to see them side-by-side. The OEMs are pretty lame.

you're not kidding... what's with this "in a row to the same pipe" layout...?

Ok. Give me a bit and I'll post...

It appears Toyota built the headers like they were intentionally trying to keep the HP down. Very strange.

15hp would be like a 6.5% increase in HP and we need all we can get!

The OEM manifold is a "log style" manifold. The JBA is a collector style. The log style's main benefit is compactness and, you guessed it... cost. But I can see how the larger collector style could cause some fitment problems during assembly. If they put a straight 6 in the 100, they could have even put an equal length collector header on it.

Here we go:

It's gonna be a very tight fit. My guess by just looking is that we have about 3/4" from the exhaust manifold heat shield to the steering.

k, so gonna try wednesday night to do the pass side, if that fits, the way the flange angles are then ill try the drivers side.

2000 lx 470

I am in. I need to replace mine anyway along with the o2 sensors while I am doing it..

Loud: I have another local Renoite that will more than likely want a pair also...assuming they fit properly ;)

Dont talk about me in the third person, its weird. I really wish I knew what I was doing, I'd be in the garage right now doing it.

That would be "another" to me...you're not here yet ;)

nice.

As usual, my timing is less than perfect. I just replaced my p. side with an oem at @ $200. Now I need to decide if I should throw it away and order up a set of these. I am very curious to hear how that driver side fits for you. I be watching...

2010SJS - Silver ceramic coated inside+ outside

Wow, very interesting thread here! I am new to the 100 scene, and am up against the wall with replacing the LHS manifold.

fxxx. It doesn't look like it's gnna fit. Angle is completely off from oem and it hits the firewall? We're putting the oem back on now....

Well...that sucks. Sorry you had to go through all this hassle to find out they wouldn't fit. That's worth at least 1

Wonder why they (header manufacturer) said/thought they would fit?

maybe its to do something with the way the motor is mounted for the newer ones and the 5speed, i dont know. Trunk, no way were we going to try to fit the drivers side if the passenger side didnt fit!

Well, now the fight begins on trying to return these things.
