I am in Loud... please put me on the list for a group buy. Mine is a 2000 LC, I'd like this one:

2010SJS - Silver ceramic coated inside+ outside - this one "weathers" best out of all of them

Thanks, Nick

I think we should check one last possibility. I know they fit on 2005 as the manufacture had installed them on one however what about the earlier years? Does anyone know if there were any major differences in the headers between 98-07?

I am in, pending price and fitment to a 2000.

I'm still in based on price.

standard stainless ones are 421+ship, we're trying to see if URD will do a group buy...maybe free shipping?

At $421 for stainless (curious if that's for T-304 or T-409) I'm 90% in... If I don't go mad from the ticking timebomb sound and do something in the meantime.

As to dynos... Meh. Dont' really care. Chassis dynos are within the margin of error on headers with stock cat-backs IMHO. If somebody does an engine dyno then I'm all ears.

I'm not planning on waiting long for this group buy to happen, I've wanted headers for too long, 4 years now.

so put you on the list?

Game Plan

I received an email from URD that stated that JBA ensured the headers fit all years. Before we do a group buy, 1LoudLX is going to purchase a set on Tuesday and test fit them on a 2000 LX. Once he has confirmed they fit, then we will get the group buy going.

We will keep you posted.

I am in if confirmed to fit and pricing and shipping is good.

Wow. This is great news! Thanks loud!

So let me get this right... these are direct bolt on with no need to change cat's or other exhaust/muffler etc?? Correct?? Or, the other option would be to add on a borla for the full meal deal? such as this? 1998-2004 Toyota Land Cruiser - Borla Exhaust System - Rear Exit Stainless Steel Cat-back

Opinions as to what each would provide in HP increase? The borla says about 10% - so that's 25 HP - seems like a lot? How about the headers alone? What about combined with the borla?

Anyone think adding the ceramic coating is worth the $175???

Depends on your climate, how you use your truck, and how you clean it. Lots of water, salt, mud, etc. cakes onto the exhaust, traps moisture in, and can rust them quickly.

Also,

Under hood temps lowered
Longer header life because of thermal coating (reduced metal fatigue and prevents corrosion)
Catalytic converter heats up faster
Supposedly increases exhaust gas velocity since more heat is contained within the header

I think its worth it. Be sure they coat both the inside and outside of the header.

as uzj said im going to order a pair and fit them. im going to get the silver ceramic ones for the chitty ny climate and the fact I beat on my motor more then most of ya.

fish, I had the borla catback along with macneill. Its actually the trd exhaust. Not much noticed from it in sound but I think it did help breathing. It sucks I cut mine up or i'd send you mine.

hoser...yes the inside is also coated. im stoked to finally order headers, going to put other mods on hold so I can get the coated ones.

they wooon't???

A 100 is in my future...spend more time here than in the 80 forum.

It's great these mods will yield performance increase without sacrificing fuel.

trunk...that's assuming you stay away from the skinny pedal with all that tempting new power on tap.
