Hi All,

I want to totally get rid of my OEM front bumper. When I mean rid, I mean totally replace not an enhanced grill guard.

I see some aftermarket bumpers on SOR, but I don't know anything about them or even which one is best for the $$$$.

Any opinions would be apperaciated.

Thanks.

Slee, ARB, TJM. in that order. I hate to say it, but... search?

"Slee, ARB, TJM. in that order. "

That is exactly what I wanted to know.

Thank you. :)

The Slee bumper offers a much better approach angle and real recovery points, In addition it mounts a Warn 12k winch without modification. The ARB is better for "deer hunting" :D and it requires a slight modification to fit a 12k Warn.

I spoke to Slee and they don't have anything in stock that I was looking for. Also ARB is out of stock for the 4 suppliers that I called?

Apparently Al-Qaeda has sunk the Bull Bar boat from Australia?

I really like the looks of the TJM front bumper, but agree that the slee is better functionally.

Dan, point of info. The later front bumpers require the fairlead to be drilled just like the ARB. This raises the fairlead a little for better clearance.

Not true Cbizkit u :princess: :flipoff2: . With plasma rope there is no need to mod the ARB unless you want to like I did. Oh, and with a little investment of time you can have killer recovery points sunk into the frame rails providing more secure recovery points and better approach - oh, and they fit bigger shackles. :flipoff2:

That said, the Slee bumper is pretty cool.

The ARB non-wench, I just gave up and got the ARB winch.

Junk could you post up a picture of the mod to your ARB. Have one on mine and would be interested in doing a little welding if they really are killer recovery points. Thanks :)

hey lurker, i need a front bumper for my 93 cruiser. would you be willing to sell me your stock bumper?
no need to get fancy w/ bumpers down here in south carolina. nearest mountains to here is that hooters up the street!

I like this one and is similar to what I run on my 80. I don't run the stinger and mine is without a winch mount right now. Mine was custom made by Trent at Holeshot Racing in SLC, Utah.

I've only seen one Slee Bumper up close and that thing is STOUT! No pansy recovery slots that fold over at the first rock. The TJM ones are sort of cool. If I was going to get one I'd probably get the polished aluminum one and then I'd beat the heck out of it and wonder why I chose it?

Sure you can have my front bumper for free, you just have to pry if out of the back of a Jeep Cherokee. :o

I have an ARB winch bumper in stock if you are interested, for an 80. It was part of their scratch and dent sale. It is still in the box so I am not sure where the scratches are.
Gary

I also have a new ARB bumper. It's in a delivery truck somewhere hopefully being driven down to Lubbock.

I hope Al-Quada isn't monitoring this post?

That would be Lubbock, as in Lubbock,Iraq........ ya right. :flipoff2:

LURKER: Have you considered something custom? Something that might give you an "edge" off road. Take a peek at what I had made for my 80.

http://www.expeditionswest.com/vehicles/adventurepartners/john80.html

I had both of these made for under $500 including the steel. My F & R frames were cut in order to improve (greatly improve) approach and departure angles. This design allows me to tackle obstacles that other 80's cannot. Of course it depends on how you use your rig and how you want it to look.

Waggoner5 you have a PM.

ShottsUZJ100,

That is a great front and rear bumper!

Too bad I've already bought the ARB front, but I'm interested in the rear.

Who made that for you and I assume that they are for sale...correct?
