Builds after KOH LV build

I like my F**** plate too. We had a laugh at the 3rd party MVD when I registered it. Guy said they would never allow that combo of letters on a new plate. The build date of this wagon is 4/65 which was pretty close to the tag as well.

I got the lenses off ebay from Australia.

I got the parts rig all titled and legit. It's going back together. Still need to see if the motor turns over.
Been driving the wagon alot as a parts and errands runner. It's really nice cause it's not too hot this time of year.

Those look awesome! Did you attach new cables to the knob somehow? The cables out of my 1967 FJ45 are all rusty and bent up/hacked, not sure what to do?

I was able to reuse the pulls and cables. I wire wheeled, soaked in PB blaster for awhile, got them free, then all lubed up, then repaint. Turned out good enough for my wagon.

RAGINGMATT on here refurbishes cables. He can replace the cable itself.

Found a few more parts for the 66 40

Where did you get the "Toyota Land Cruiser" emblem on the rear?

Bought it out of the classifieds here. It is a repop that was made awhile back.

Bought a parts FJ55 for the drive train. Will transplant into the 40. Also got some doors. Merry Christmas everybody.

Carved up the 55. Going to make a wall hanger and paint it blue and white like the 1970 FJ55 I had awhile back. Plus this made engine removal easy.

How does the rest of the fenders look? The lower part that always rusts out, might be worth saving.

This 55 is rough. It's missing the rockers and bottom 5-6 inches of the fenders and body all around. Plus that has been fiber glassed over. I have taken most usable items off and plan to sell or reuse most of it.

Hauled the rest of that 55 to the scrap yard. Got some breathing room now. Next step is to clean up the motor and engine bay. Then install motor.

Getting closer. I hope no one minds my thread getting alittle off track with the 40 build. I have bought a ton new oem stuff that will be going on my wagon and the spare stuff will be used on this 40. Here's some clean up work.

Got the motor in. Flash on the camera sure makes everything look rustier than it really is. I mean it's got alittle "patina" but it's really bone dry.

The guy, that was parting this 40 out, cut a big hole in the front cross member. It looked horrible plus weakened the piece. Got it all patched up. Even including the PTO hole.
