Hello all,

I am planning on converting my stock rig from AHC to a 1.5 medium OME lift, and swapping out my 265/70 16s to 285/75 16s bfg ko2s.

My truck will remain mostly stock other than sliders and a rack in the future.

For those with a similar set up, how is the ride? Anything you would change?

I have the ome 1.5 springs in the rear of my truck with reindexed tbs in front. The ome springs imo ride better and handle better than stock. Especially pulling a trailer .

way firmer and better cornering. downside is it's well, way firmer. Also noisier.

It really is relative. I have same springs and feel they ride great, not overly stiff at all. My rear used to bottom out on speed bumps, not anymore.

There is minimal roll. I had all rows with passengers and it did great. I just have the springs though. You can do it yourself in less than 4 hours including indexing TB. I'm not super mechanical but if there's a video I'll if I can follow it.

Good luck!

I have the OME 865 springs in the rear, a mild crank of the torsion bars up front, and Ironman Foam Cell Pro shocks. Huge improvement. The stiffness issues often reported seem to be mostly centered around the OME shocks. Reading through the search results posted above should flesh that out for you. Can't recommend the Ironman shocks highly enough, especially for the price.

X2 on the iron man shocks!
I didn't realize how bad the ome shocks were until I put on the iron man.

This is great to hear as I have exactly the same setup sitting in boxes in my garage waiting to go in!

Thanks for the input and thread references. Going to take it to Slee and see what they can come up with. I will have them complete install.
