I drained the pan, 2004 100 series. I got about 2.75 qts out. I went to fill and realized I wasn’t prepared- no dipstick and I didn’t have the right kind of transfer pump or the 24mm socket. I found a small 12mm plug in front of the linkage right above the pan and managed to get the new fluid in that spot- is this OK? I ran it 30 miles and seems fine- the overlflow plug is too tight to remove afraid I’ll break it. Any opinions if what I did was ok?

Hmmmm. Without taking a gander…. I have no idea what the 12 mm plug would be for. The 24 mm is the fill plug.

It was a small short bolt with an o ring on it.

you found a hole that you knew wasn't the right one and just went for it?

can you post a picture of the 12mm bolt where you put the transmission fluid in? that does not sound like the fill plug to me
Right above the pan, it’s half way in the shadow.
