Yes, it only has 25k miles, not a typo. I have been looking for GX470 for about 3 weeks all over the internet, and ironically found this GX couple of streets behind my office. The original owner is asking 26,000 for it, other than 4 or 5 oil changes no other maintenance was done to it, I verified it on Lexus owner's website. It was garaged since new.

I do some of my repairs myself, but not sure if timing belt is worth changing by myself, I can do fluids and suspension work and based on Lexus maintenance schedule and forum recommendations it's due for 90k service with timing belt and WP, also the tires are 10 years old, so those need to be changed first. There is no rust. Dash hasn't cracked, I assume it will crack once we start driving it.

I understand price can be subjective but can you please share your personal opinion on if this truck is worth it?.

Thank you, please move it to right forum if I posted in wrong place.

Why you want to change the suspension? I would just do the fluid maintenance, change the timing belt (not the water pump with so little miles), put slightly larger tires, remove the stock running boards, and ride it like the wind.

The truck seems too pristine to offroad! LOL. To each their own, but you are getting a "new" rig...

What color is it? And is it a base model? Timing belts not due till 100k wouldn't worry about that.

It's gold and has nav, not sport and no kinetic suspension.

I meant to say if required I can work on suspension if any bushings need to be replaced due to age.

It sounds like you really like this rig. It's essentially brand new. Just put new tires and drive it. Just inspect the timing belt to make sure it's not cracking due to age, but if you can do it yourself...then just change it. Leave everything else intact...it's essentially new.

You are paying a premium, but you are getting a clean rig. I spent $8K on mine, but it was older and needed maintenance and I wanted upgrades. I ended up spending another $5K on new brake pads, new rotors, TC UCAs, timing belt, water pump, drive belt, radiator, hoses, OPOR sliders, and fluid changes. So, I'm $13K in on a 2003 that's a little beat up, but I'm lifted with bigger tires and upgrades.

You will be at say $26K stock with new tires. Your rig will probably last more years than mine...I assume there's no rust on yours! Mine was a California rig all its life.

If you have the money. It is your call. That is a crazy low truck. You will still have maintenance due to age vs miles so don't ignore the soft parts

I am not 100% sure if I want to buy it yet. The price after maintenance will get close to good condition base gx460 without the potential dash crack and air suspension problems. I didn't correctly test the air suspension, reading up on how to test it right now.

Timing belt and associated components should be changed based on age, not just mileage. Sounds like a rare find, but the actual lack of driving time may result in leaks from dried out seals/gaskets. How often was it driven and when it was driven, how far?

It was driven about 1500 miles a year for the last 3 1/2 years and about 2-3k miles/year before that. I will try to get some pictures of the underbody and post them later today.

Cracked dash is generslly a heat thing, like cars parked outside in the Texas sun (that'll turn the dash into a jigsaw puzzle). If this truck has been garaged in a cool climate (and continues to be) the dash will be totally fine indefinitely. I don't see a location by your name. Unless you live down south, don't worry too much about the dash.

Thanks to everybody for feedback. I won't be buying the truck, search continues.

Good choice, it would be a great find if you were just going to keep it on the street as a family hauler but too nice and too much $ to off-road it.

Plus it is Gold :puke: and had Nav

I was going to daily it too, but as tempting as it was, it was way above fair value. Owner was not willing come down more than couple of grand, he had quarter mil car in his garage, so it wasn't worth it for him to sell below that price.

Also I couldn't test the air springs/suspension correctly, it jerked a little when I tested it first time, but it could have been my error. The owner, although a nice guy, seemed to have gotten little annoyed that I went second time to check suspension, so I had to leave.
