Count me in for the kit w/o hubs if there's a round two.

dont whine

pm me ill buy the spool off you ,and whats up is everybody happy ,what was the whinning from anyway ,bad bearing off the spool or idler play, not balanced anymore. lets hear some feed back, sounds to serious to be sheepish about it .what do you think beno ,does the 4wheel systems stuff sound the same, what about all the welded spools ,havent heard any of there s whinning.has any body taken thiers apart and checked bearings gears shaft play or wear, hope its not lack of oil now, cause im getting this because most of my driveing is at higher speeds .im surprised the supplier hasnt responded to this thread you would think they would be following it ,being a group buy feed back thing. dont get me wrong good product idea ,and yes i will get one ,if only they made it still sound like a landcruiser not landrover

Everything is fine with mine. No issues. Real nice having part time ability.

I replaced bearings when I did mine.

wow nice work beno under ten minutes .i was just reading the rest of the post ,i thought there was alot of people on this buy.glad to hear yours is good ,and its not a lube issue.so i should do the bearings at the same time even if they look good .or do you think the whineing is another issue. ha.oh how many. bearings did you replace anyway

I dont know if its been mentioned, but are you running AVM hubs or Aisin's. Does anybody want to see a comparison of the innards of the two? Is there a thread about this elsewhere? I got AVM and AISIN guts on my countertop in the garage is why I'm asking.

Sounds like the potential for a good thread. Post up

Seriously, is there really another option other than the epic Aisin hub for Toyotas?

:hmm:

I am running rebuilt FJ60 Aisins.

The other option would be:

Aisin hubs with longfield guts, booya!

Actually the AVM's are kind of cool, but I think their weakest link in comparison to the weakest link of the Aisins is the inner hub gear and is smaller with less outer spline width.

feeling a little tipssy

but wouldnt be the first one ive rolled ,i thought thats why everyone bought the_ t/c kit only_ was for ,because they already had or wanted the aisin hubs or what ever, already, you saying its the hubs .ha HA HEH jdm81 AISIN all the way hey.YOU SHOULD BE THE ONE TO ANSWER THAT CODY C-there is no way your runnjg avm with a cummins

I was hop'ing no one would figure out that Im just pretending to have a cummins and AVM's. I guess the cat's out of the bag now....

Its too bad there wasnt some money on the line..

I would be a little richer. ;p

So, anyways. Im postin some pics of the AVM vs. the AISIN, not that anyone doubted the AISIN, and heres what happens when you dont fold the tabs on your star nut properly...

New spindle time. Oh well I get to put AISIN's where the AVM's were while im in there.

cody c+ so did you do your p/t kit does it whine or did you weld yours

A little whine'ing, but thats to do with the NV4500 I put in later, originally it had a part time kit with AVM hubs when I bought it, but i sold the transfer case and now run an AA adapter and a split case from a 82 BJ60 which was part time to begin with. The part time converted 80 series case was sold to a fella I know, earlier this year who had won AISIN's at the river shiver last year.

When the original case was in there I didnt have any probs with noise from it.
Here's some pics of the nv4500 and split case in an old thread if your interested:

Before I commit I would like to hear some feedback from others after the installation of the kit.

Anyone?

Count me in for the kit minus the hubs.
