Except how do you gauge how much to add? You’d have to remove the plug anyway to inspect. Then you are pressurizing the knuckle. There is no vent except thru seals.

On mine, yes it’s only good for like 5 people but you still have the inspection plug open to gauge the fill and to prevent pressurizing. :hmm:

That is the dilemma I face as well. I have only added grease twice, really just for the hell of it, but the pressure has always been in the back of my mind. I sort of assume the pressure is pretty low, plus I figure the seal between the ball and the felt/seal combo is far from air tight. As far as the level, I normally gauge that based on where the grease line shows up on the underside of the ball where the wiper wipes. Its pretty easy to know where your level is that way too.

And you save the innocent lives of a few ziplock bags, right @LS1FJ40 ?!

I’ve replaced my ziploc bags with masonry bags. Reusable. Better for the environment. :p

Ok next small change...

faster than delivery take-out...

When grease stops coming out past the wipers, the knuckles are at the correct level.

I can use a set of these caps sans the zerks because I add grease through the fitting at the end of my rcv shafts.

I have been thinking about these, I know what they would cost me to make them o_Oo_O:meh:
