I'm going to check out this car and most likely buy it tomorrow. I want to get some feedback and any advice or particular area I should pay closer attention? I pulled the VIN on lexus.com and the car have been dealer serviced very 5000 miles. Its got new tires and new front shocks (at 85K i think). Any input would be appreciated. Also do you think the price is reasonable?

2010 Lexas LX570 WHITE/BEIGE LOW Perfect Condition

Thanks,
Steve

Manheim adjusted MMR is about $25,800. Base MMR $23.8k, +1,440 for mileage, $610 for color and condition of 3.5 (my est).
Est. retail at $31,000. You might ask for a few thousand off. Check heater T's, rust on frame, test the AHC.

Interesting, his picture shows mileage at 92,428 but the listing says 97,842. Either seller is dyslexic or has been trying to sell it for the past 5k miles.

It's a rare Lexas LX570, with the "H4 and L4 Options."

The mileage is intersting because on the setvice record on lexus.com shows 104k on May 2018. So these pictures must be real old.

Thanks for that information .. the reason i like this car is the continuous dealer serviced record and driven in Texas its whole life thus should be no rust. My newbie mistake of buying a used car in the northeast end up badly. Not only the cold start is really rough on the engine but also rust all over the under body

Those are surely old photo since the record on lexus.com shows 104K miles on May 2018.
And his Craigslist ad shows 97k miles on the vehicle now. When I Google that VIN it shows up at a dealer in Mansfield with 106k. I would be sure to ask some questions.

Do your homework. I'd want to know where it has been.

IF it spent any time in the Houston area...remember the flooding that occurred there not quite a year ago (end of August). Look for any evidence of water damage. If it spent its life elsewhere...then O.K.

So, did you check it out? If seller has been trying to sell for the past 10k miles (6-9 months) there is something odd/questionable. Or unreasonable on price.

The seller cancelled the meeting at the last meeting since he will be out of town the weekend. Didn't bother to let me know until I call him to meet up.. whatever.

What was interesting today was that I found another deal at Lexus of West Kendall in Florida on a 2014 with 40K miles.... FOR a low price of $42,000. This was a price drop from 49K. I call the dealer as soon as i receive the price drop notification from Autotrader. I didn't bother to negotiate and wanted them to hold the car with $1000 deposit so I can fly out and pick it up in a couple of days. The mistake I made was i didn't ask for the OTD price before discussing the arrangement. Right before I about the pay the $1000 deposit, I ask for the OTD quote to know what to expect showing up at the dealer in a couple of days to finalize the paper work and pick up the car. Beside TTL, they added 3 lines of fees, (cleaning fee, dealer fee, dmv fee, documentation fee, etc) total at $2000, bringing the drive out price of $46,600. I truly think this is a good deal but hate the fact that they pull this S*#t on me. I end up passing up on the deal.

I just check their website again and the price now is $45,000. I probably gonna regret tomorrow passing up on this good deal.

Heater T's aren't really a big issue with 570, of course not bad to check them. +1 for checking AHC and also look for any leaking from shocks (especially the fronts)

Also check for the hairline crack on the radiator stamp, check if the water pump/starter has been replaced (cause you'll need to do that at some point), and look at both fuse boxes under the dash for signs of water leaking from an aftermarket windshield.

So i found another 2011 model with very low miles (~25,000 miles) for $40,000. This is last model before the model refresh so I'll be missing out on a few extras. But the most important criteria for me is the low mileage. I will go check it out tomorrow and likely purchase it if is in good condition. I'd like to get your thoughts or advice before pulling the trigger. Thanks!!!

Why are you concerned about mileage specifically?

Why are you concerned about mileage specifically?

not concerned about the mileage specifically but just general feedback or comments regarding older vehicle with unusually low mileage. As oppose to newer vehicle with higher mileage for the same price.
