Does anyone have a wiring diagram or pin out for the trans control unit for a 94 FZJ80? I have just finished a turbo conversion but have used a Haltech ecu so I can tune it but have now lost overdrive in the box and we are thinking the trans control unit is not getting a signal which will allow it to shift into O/D. There is about 6 wires that come from the engine ecu to the trans ecu but we do not know what they do.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
cheers

These should get you started. Overdrive can not engage until up to temperature. That should be "OD1" and "ECT2". There are 9 total connections to/from the ECU. There are a number of things that control the shifting process to reduce harshness, control the lockup on the converter.

This is all from the FSM. The EWD may have more info but I can't find it at the moment. PM me with your email and I can try to provide more info.

Hey mate, I have a open or short in my ECT 1 circuit. Any tips to repair or replace?

If your 93 model is a North American spec or otherwise a motor fitted with an EGR the main engine wiring harness where it passes the EGR can be damaged by heat and wires can short out. Best to open the harness in that area and inspect for damage then rewrap with a heat resistant shield/tape or similar.

By the looks I don't have an EGR lol
