Wondering if you guys can help me decide. I've done my homework and am between the BFG KO2's, BFG Rugged Trail, and the Michelin A/T 2's tires on my 2006 LC.

Just cant decide whether to go with the 275/65/18's or the 275/70/18's. I'm particular and looking for an aggressive twist on a stock look, but also need a quite tire. You're feedback and especially pics would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys!

I have 275/70r18 KO2s on mine. With only a few thousand miles on them, I can't comment much on longevity, but they're quiet and work well in the snow.

Searching will yield more pics and opinions.

Do the 275/70/18 KO2's fit into the stock spare location?

Good question. I have a 265/70/18 in the spare location. Discount tire said they could not fit a 275/70/18 in the spare tire space. But running the smaller size for a while if I have a flat won't hurt anything, close counts with these beasts.

Yes but consider..

-Traditional frame mounted trailer hitch potential clearance issue

-The built in trailer hitch option on the lx may be limited space

a 275/70/18 BFG KO2 fits in the spare well with this receiver hitch...

I am running KO2s on my 200 in 275-70-18 and in 285/75/16 on my 100 and in 315/75/16 on my 80. I am in love with the new KO2s. They are quiet and are wearing wonderfully. I cant speak to the AT2s but the Rugged Trail is a non factor to me at this point with how much quieter the KO2 is over the KO.

Here's 275/65/18 BFG A/T KO

Put these on 2 weeks ago and have around 1k miles so far. So far we are happy with them; slightly more road noise than the Dunlaps that were on from when we bought it. Nothing big though, drove from North Dallas to Austin and back the other day and everything was fine at speed. I've seen plenty of rain but nothing worse or off road yet.

This is just an OPINION:

you have a 200 series in your garage that im sure delivers an awesome highway ride. have fun with your 100. commit - all or nothing.

the rugged terrain is a glorified street tire that delivers no real offroad benefit and takes away from a comfy highway ride. the michelins are close behind. the ko2s look awesome, work in all settings, have a true sidewall, and ride well for an AT.

im a fan of the 275/70r18. yes they are heavier than your other options and your ride will change, but the V8 can easily handle them

good luck and get what makes you happy

BTW my brother is one if the chefs at bluewater and the oceanic in wrightsville beach nc, been there over 15 yrs

that is a clean looking truck

275/70R18 Goodyear Duratrac. The fullsize spare fits in the stock location no problem (I usually remove the swing out tire carrier if I don't have any trips planned in the near future, and I don't have a factory or traditional trailer hitch receiver). I've been kind of lazy about rotating the tires and now they're making a little more road noise, not bad though.

Fresh from Discount tires 5 new 275/70 r18. out the door 1130 with a price match from 4wd.com

I am pissed about the weights on the outside but what can you do it was done before I came back in to pick them up :( Replaced my discoverer 265 75r16 on stock plasti dip rims. The ride home was way quieter than my warn Discoverer atp's

OME springs in the back cranked stock Tbars. 22" from fender to center of hub in the rear 21" fender to hub center in the front. Or it was but right now there are also the 5 other tires in the back smashing it down a bit lol,

I've had these KO2s a few weeks in 275/70-18. My last two sets were 295/75-16 KOs, and the KO2s are a huge improvement. Quieter and smoother without the AT hum. Haven't had them off road or in the snow yet, but on the road it's an impressive tire.

BFG KO2 in 275/65/18. Love them on and of road. Performed extremely well in an emergency braking situation on wet highway last week too.

Anyone have pics of 275/65/18 KO2's? I'm thinking this is the route I'm going to go. Just don't want to see too much tire under the truck. Whatcha guys think?

the pic right above your post :)

I know..., lol, but it's tough to see how the truck will sit by looking at that pic of a 100 taking on the Amazon
