Hey All,

Some of you may remember I took an epic trip in my fj60 cruiser a few years ago driving from Colorado to Panama. During my adventures I had the inspiration for a novel, which is now available on Amazon (and free as a Kindle download for today only). One of the most important characters in the book is, of course, a land cruiser. Check it out if you get a chance - you don't need a Kindle device for the free download, just install the free Kindle app to your Mac, PC or mobile device and you can access my book as well as about a bajillion others. Here's the link to the book:

And here's a link to the travelogue I kept during my trip, complete with some nice cruiser shots:

Central America Travelogue

My trip wouldn't have been possible without all the help I got from people in this forum when I was both preparing my rig for the adventure, and when I ran into some serious mechanical issues en route. And that means the novel would have never happened. So thanks to all!

Cheers,
Mark

That reminds me, it was during my trip that I started reading about all the ecology and complexity science stuff that I ended up working on for my PhD at Stanford. So yet another thread of my life that probably wouldn't have happened were it not for my truck!

Thanks for the free download and congrats on getting published.

If anybody is looking for another Cruiser-centric book, I highly recommend "Who Needs A Road" by Harold Stephens. It's his account of driving around the world in an FJ40 in 1965. Great read.

Just downloaded the Kindle pc reader simply to get your book. Thanks from me as well for the free download. Greatly anticipating reading it. And reading through your travelogue.

Mark, if you need an editor for your first scientific paper . . .

. . . send a PM for more info
