First I'm not trying to get the Shackle Reversal pro & con debate going again.

Second, yes I searched old posts. Hence, the reason for above comentent.

Based on reading previous post I have a few question specific to the MAF SR kit.

1. Brake dive, how pronounced is it and is it a big deal?

2. How many inches does the front wheel/axle move forward (increase WB) since the front springs are flipped with the MAF SR kit?

3. With the MAF SR does the front axle need to be cut & turned?

I wouldn't think so since the SR adds 1 1/2" of lift and the OME springs
add 2"- 2 1/2" so total lift will be 3 1/2"- 4".
The same as I would get with OME springs and longer shackles.

I have never experience "brake dive" on mine. If you set up the kit like the instructions, the axles only moves 1-3". You do not need to cut and turn on a spring under (although you should use shims to correct caster.

Thanks mudnyreye,

Does anyone have any pictures or know of a link on MUD with some pics that shows a side view of a 40 with the front springs flipped?
It doesn't need to be a SR just flipped front springs. I am wondering how moving the wheel forward changes the look side on.

Actually, I need to correct myself. If you install the kit exactly as instructed, your axle will be at the stock position. If you choose not to flip the springs, your axle will move forward about 4". this will require inner fender mods and flipping your front shock upper mounts. As well as adding some length to your Drive shaft

heres one i have the man a fre 4 inch with shackle reversal. it also has a two inch body lift. the reversal will not change wheelbase

Ah, thats good.

I miss read their info on the MAF site.

I thought they said when you install the SR, the springs were supposed to be flipped so the military wrap end of the spring would be connected to the spring
hanger like it would be when stock.
But at the front instead of at the rear since the spring hanger is now at the front.
Or does the military wrap go on the shackle? I forget which end the military wrap end attaches to, shackle end or spring end!

Anyway the military wrap end would attach to the spring hanger or shackle as stock.
